3、 Introduction to Plate Heat Exchanger
Plate heat exchanger is composed of main components such as frame, heat transfer plate group, and clamping bolts.

The framework consists of a fixed clamping plate and a movable clamping plate, supported by upper and lower guide rods, with a pillar at the other end. The pressed corrugated plates are suspended on the upper guide rod between the two plates. The movable clamping plate is moved to compress the plate group, and then a set of clamping bolts is used to clamp the fixed clamping plate and the movable clamping plate to a certain size. Two types of media flow into their respective channels composed of corrugated plates through the flange holes on the fixed (or movable) compression plate, and after heat exchange, the media flow out through the flange holes on the fixed (or movable) compression plate. The fixed compression plate, movable compression plate, support pillar, and guide rod are all made of low-carbon steel. Considering the various usage requirements of users, there are various types of framework designs, mainly including double support framework and commonly used floor standing framework. The framework design can also be changed according to user requirements.

The heat transfer plate is one of the core components of plate heat exchangers. The corrugated sheet is formed by one-time pressing, and the reasonable corrugated design increases the effective heat transfer area of the sheet, which forms turbulence when the fluid passes through the corrugated sheet and enhances the heat transfer process. During assembly, ripples intersect with each other to form a large number of contact resistance points, greatly improving the stiffness of the plate assembly and thus being able to withstand high pressure. Each plate serves as a heat transfer surface, and under the action of a sealing gasket, cold and hot media pass through both sides of the plate for heat exchange. There are four liquid distribution channels L on the plate, and sealing gaskets are installed around the plates to restrict the flow of the medium in the plate group. Each plate forms a parallel channel and flows through the two media inside in the direction of optimal heat transfer effect. To adapt to various highly corrosive media, the corrugated plate material includes: industrial pure titanium TAl, used for seawater or other corrosive media; Multiple types of stainless steel, used in freshwater, drinking water, oil, and other non corrosive media.

A sealing gasket is installed on the sealing groove of the corrugated plate, which is designed as a dual channel sealing structure and has a signal hole. When the medium leaks from the first seal, it can be detected and solved early by leaking out of the equipment through the signal channel L, without causing mixing of the two media. The sealing gasket can be selected with different types of adhesive according to different fluids and operating temperatures.

6、 Design concept of plate heat exchanger:
*The new design of the plate with pressurized flow guide zone uses multiple channels to increase pressure in areas where the flow velocity is high, so that the flow velocity in the entire plate is equal, greatly improving the heat transfer efficiency of the plate, reducing dead corners, and improving the scaling condition of the plate.
*The high-strength hanging mouth design of the board is to add pattern design at the hanging mouth, strengthen the rigidity around the flange, and assemble it more neatly and beautifully, with better opening performance.
*The design of the groove in the middle of the plate is sufficient to break off the continuous ripples inside the plate, and the half groove structure is added to the plate I, easing the pressure on the plate and making it more smooth and easy to bend after pressing.
*The interlocking design of the board is a special mechanical interlocking structure pressed at the four corners of the board, which improves the phenomenon of easy leakage during the assembly process of the board, making the assembly of the board more convenient and beautiful.
*All plate sealing gaskets adopt a non stick buckle form, reducing operation and maintenance costs and facilitating maintenance.

7、 Technical advantages and characteristics of plate heat exchangers:
*High heat transfer coefficient: The special corrugated design on the heat transfer plate can generate strong turbulence in the fluid at extremely low flow rates, and the self-cleaning effect of turbulence can prevent the generation of dirt, making the heat transfer coefficient of the plate heat exchanger 3-5 times that of the shell and tube heat exchanger.
*Economy: Under the premise of the same heat exchange capacity, compared with shell and tube type, it has less investment, lower operating costs, and lower maintenance costs.
*Adjustable: Simply increase or decrease the number of plates to meet the needs of process changes.
*Compact structure: occupying only 1/2 to 1/3 of the shell and tube type space under the same heat transfer capacity
*Easy to clean and repair

8、 Design and selection of plate heat exchanger:
(1) The physical parameters of cold and hot media, such as acidity, chloride content, viscosity, density, thermal conductivity, specific heat, etc.
(2) The inlet and outlet temperatures of cold and hot media.
(3) The flow rate of cold and hot media or one of them.
(4) Requirements for pressure loss of cold and hot media.
(5) The inherent characteristics of plate heat exchangers, such as plate materials, sealing gasket materials, etc.
